Fallout 76

Bethesda announced their latest Fallout game at E3 on June 10, 2018, and for the first time in the Fallout franchise history, the new game will feature multiplayer action. As a fan of the solo Fallout games, I was a little shocked by this announcement and didn't believe it at first. Of course, I want to play Fallout with my friends, but I remember when Bethesda said they would include multiplayer with Fallout 4. Good thing I wasn't holding my breath, otherwise I doubt I'd be here to write these words again: I'm excited at the opportunity to play cooperatively with my friends in a multiplayer Fallout world.

We don't know much at this point, but here's what we do know. 1) Multiplayer focus - this isn't a single player game with multiplayer aspect thrown in at the last second, 76 was built from the ground up for multiplayer 2) Bethesda is addressing anti-griefing - this is primarily why I would only play with friends, but we'll have to see how they implement 3) Questing and experience will be very similar to the single-player franchise 4) Nukes - while difficult to launch, you will be able to launch nukes at parts of the map, and whatever is in that area will be, well, nuked 5) CAMP - easy to build and re-build, they want to encourage PvP raiding, but when your CAMP is blown up, it will be easy to repair 6) Survival, together - players can only be killed once by another player, and players can group up to build and defend territory 7) Death penalty - you won't lose your stuff, and you will be able to spawn in a known area, so no hardcore permadeath 8) Launch date - Fallout 76 scheduled for release on November 14, 2018 9) No private servers at launch, but planned after launch

Since there will only be dozens of players on a server instance, I'm placing this in the non-MMO category. We don't know a lot about the game yet, but I will play the beta and will let you know what I know, as soon as I know.
